Global Warming: A Threat to the Economy Meraz Ashraf MBA Student, (1 st Sem.) ICCMRT, Lucknow December. 2009 ABSTRACT As we know that the very basic things for the survival of human beings are roti, kapra aur makan (bread, clothes and shelter). But in addition to these, there is something more, among which eco-friendly and green environment is very necessary and important for various purposes (discussed later). Contrary to this, green house gases and climate change are threat to human beings as well as economy. In this regard we must know what is Global Warming? How does it affect? And what should we do to curb it . Global Warming        Nowadays everywhere, everybody is talking about Global Warming and Green House Effects. But, what are Global Warming and Green House Effect? is a matter of great concern. Global Warming is ‘the increase in the average temperature on the earth surface’. As the earth is getting hotter, disorders like hurricanes, draught

DOWRY: A Boon or Curse?

Again on March 08 th , 2009 her-in-laws had allegedly set her on fire (this time she was six month pregnant) and died.              This happened only for not bringing dowry. Very often we come across such heinous cases around us. We say that we have entered modern and developed era but what about these brutal activities which are far worse than those done in ancient times in the absence of proper understanding among human beings. Like, if one or more of our teeth go bad, we still treat them as our own and get them properly treated. In the same way, if some of our girls don’t belong to well-to-do family, we must tre

Excess Of Anything Is Bad!

It’s the peak exam season, and students and their parents are trying to cope with the exam anxiety. Almost all the students are busy studying. And very soon, after the declaration of the results, some students will come off with the flying colours and some with long faces.             I don’t wish for the latter one but it’s an inevitable fact. There are also bad consequences varying from great depression, frustration to suicide. In 2006, the most recent year for which official data is available, 5,857 students- or 16 a day killed themselves due to exam stress. Now, can we think of what leads to these bad consequences? Yes! Excess pressure of parents on students is one of them. Since children (students) a

This question is also being supported by the whole world. Pakistan and other countries should think about it, why a game and its players were targeted. Are they soft target!             It, March 03, 2009, turned into Black Friday, when the agile terrorist with backpacks, AK-47, even Rocket launcher, attacked our respectable neighbours  'Sri Lanka'  cricketers in  Lahore . Afterwards, the anti-Pak slogans and demonstrations like setting on the fire the Pak flags are continuing in all over the world.
